Now Hiring Executive Director

Dear Methow Valley Nordic Community,

As we head into December with much to be thankful for, particularly our fantastic staff, volunteers, and members. I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday. I, along with many comp team and Polar Bear youth athletes and families spent the week in Silver Star, BC, which was such a magical winter wonderland. As we turn our attention to the ski racing season, and get our annual auction underway, we are also pleased to launch the search for our next Executive Director.

At the heart of our organization, we are driven by a passion to share the magic of Nordic skiing with our members and community. Our next Executive Director will help champion our mission to nurture athletes of all age groups and levels, lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising strategy, and ensure a strong, connected, and vibrant Nordic ski community in the Methow Valley.

We are looking for a strategic leader who:

  • Shares a passion for our mission.

  • Has proven experience in non-profit fundraising and management (or related).

  • Possesses the skillset to lead an outdoor-oriented non-profit.

If you or someone you know might be a great fit, please visit our ED search web page to read the full job description and apply.

Let’s glide forward together,

Ara Swanson

Board President

Methow Valley Nordic Ski Educational Foundation

PS – We are excited to share that the MVNSEF board of directors adopted a refreshed mission, vision, values, and strategic priorites at our November meeting. More detail to come! These will help guide us through our ED search process and as we collectively shape the future of this mighty organization. We could not have done this without the leadership of our outgoing Executive Director Alison Naney, and the support of longtime non-profit leader, Don Linnertz, as well as a generous grant from the Community Foundation of North Central Washington. More soon!
