Scholarships and Financial Aid

MVNSEF wants to ensure that a family's financial situation never gets in the way of a kid being able to ski. Our scholarship fund is made possible from gifts from generous donations. You can support this important program by donating today.

We subsidize every skier, but even with program costs set at half the true cost, we realize that skiing involves a significant investment for tuition, equipment, and travel for camps and races. MVNSEF provides financial aid through our scholarship fund for all our youth programs that can apply to tuition, equipment and trip fees. We use a formula from the University of Washington Self-Sufficiency Standard as to do our part to ensure that participation in sport is part of a balanced, sustainable upbringing for a child and their family.

  • Scholarship Application(all other programs)

The application deadline for scholarships is Oct. 13, 2024. In addition to the application form, please include a letter from the athlete (if athlete is very young, they may draw or dictate their thoughts on skiing instead) to board@mvnsef.org.

  • International Competition Fund

The Methow Valley Nordic International Competition Fund (ICF) supports current participants and graduates of the Methow Valley Nordic and Biathlon Teams who are pursuing skiing at an international level.

The ICF is a qualification and need-based fund helping support year-round travel, training camps, and racing costs associated with competition at the international level. If adequate resources are available, the fund can also support junior skiers nominated by their National Governing Body to attend key international championships. Need is defined as stated insufficient resources to support the required training, travel, and competition.
