Celebrate the Holidays with MVNSEF: Skiing, Santa, and So Much Fun!

The holiday season will soon be upon us, and there’s no better place to celebrate than the Methow Valley! Whether you're a seasoned skier or just getting started, the Methow Valley Nordic Ski Education Foundation (MVNSEF) has something for everyone. From skiing with Santa to races and educational opportunities, there's plenty of action to get you in the holiday spirit. Get ready for a season of snow, smiles, and unforgettable memories!

Ski with Santa: December 24th

This December, MVNSEF invites families to take part in a one-of-a-kind experience: Ski with Santa at Brown’s Farm! It’s a magical event where kids and adults alike can glide through the snow alongside Santa himself. It’s a perfect way to enjoy the winter wonderland and snap a festive photo with St. Nick on skis! Don’t forget your holiday spirit—and maybe a wish or two for the season!

Kids Camp : December 26 & 27

Kids unite to learn skills and have fun! And parents might just have a little fun in the snow while the little ones are away. Camp will be held in Mazama from 9am to 12pm each day. We’ll be using the Mazama Community Center for Base Camp. Register early and save $30.

Holiday Racing : December 28

For those looking to put their skills to the test, we’re hosting a Ski Rodeo! Whether you're an experienced racer or just getting your ski legs under you, these races are a fun way to challenge yourself and celebrate the season. With categories for kids and adults, individuals and relay teams, it’s the perfect opportunity to compete with friends, family, and fellow skiers. Plus, there will be festive prizes, good cheer, and plenty of post-race hot cocoa to warm you up!

Try Biathlon : December 29

If you’ve ever been curious about Ski Biathlon, now is your chance to learn more and even take part. We’ll talk to participants about safety, technique, and challenges. Then it’s off to practice and have some fun in a mini race event! Find out more here.

Vintage Ski Fest : December 31

Gather together in Mazama to show off your vintage ski clothing and equipment. We’ll share stories and enjoy a short ski through the flats together. Join in or just stop by to listen and snap a few photos.
