Fall programs for the young at heart

Fall is the perfect time to start working to get ready for the snow, so you’ll be ready and fit to make the most of the winter. Our fall offerings are for members of all abilities.

  • Intervals with Pete

    Wednesdays from 9-11am

    Sept. 18-Nov.20

    These weekly interval classes focus on dryland ski technique (uphill) while building your fitness.

    A typical session begins with a warm-up which incorporating mobility, general movement skills, and dryland ski technique before moving to moderate to high intensity intervals ski-walking and/or bounding.  Early in the season we may do about 25-30 minutes of 'work' through interval training and then build up to higher volumes as the fall progresses.  

  • Rollerski Basics with Elise

    Tuesdays from 8:30-10am

    Sept. 17, 24, Oct. 8, 15

    Learn and progress your rollerski technique with this four week series with Elise Putnam.

    This four week series is tailored to newer rollerskiers with a focus on getting comfortable and integrating technique. If you're interested in rollerskiing but the intimidation factor, lack of work out buddies, being unsure of where to ski, or other obstacles have steered you away, this is for you!

  • Fall Intervals with Elise

    Tuesdays from 8:30-9:45

    Oct. 22-Dec. 10

    These weekly interval classes forcus on dryland ski technique (uphill) while building your fitness.

    This 8-week dryland interval training group meets on Tuesday mornings from 8:30-9:45 AM at various locations near Winthrop and Mazama.    

    A typical session begins with a warm-up incorporating mobility, general movement skills, and dryland ski technique, then moderate to high intensity intervals ski-walking and/or bounding.  Workouts will include about 20-35 minutes of 'work' through interval training and then build up to higher volumes as the fall progresses.  

  • Fall Training Camp

    Oct. 4-6

    Get ready for winter with our first annual fall training camp! Learn dryland training techniques, strength exercises and workouts, and simply have fun with other skiers before the snow flies.

    This weekend includes twice daily coached training sessions (rollerski and/or dryland), strength workshop, catered food Friday evening, and breakfasts and lunches both weekend days.
