Ski Rodeo

There’s something for everyone at the Ski Rodeo!

This year's event will feature three race distances (15, 10 and 3 km) and participants can to choose to complete the race as an individual or part of a 2- or 3-person team, to  make a unique, fun, early-season race!   Oh, and there will be a lollipop race for the youngest participants at the conclusion of the event!

Registration

Stay tuned for registration for the 2024 Ski Rodeo.

One skier (or parent/guardian as applicable) should register all members of a 2 or 3-person team.  All skiers (or their parent/guardian for minors) must complete a waiver prior to participating - stay tuned for a special link to the online waiver.  This will help us expedite bib pick-up and save a few trees!

Please note: Registration closes at Midnight on Thursday December 28!  NO DAY OF RACE REGISTRATION!

Entry fees:
$20 for an individual
$35 for teams (2 or 3 members; one fee per team)

Registration closes at Midnight on Thursday December 26!  All Team (Relay) Skiers (or their parent/guardian) must complete a waiver prior to bib pick-up.  Please complete the online waiver by 3 PM on Friday, December 27 to help expedite the process!

Categories

15 km:
Open (any age) individual or team,
Junior (Born 2003 and after) individual or team,
40-59 (age on race day) individual or team,
60+ (age on race day) individual or team

10 km:
Open (any age) individual or team,
U12/U14 team (Born 2009-2012),
U16/U18 (Born 2005-2008) individual or team,

3 km:
Open (any age) individual or team,
U14 individual (Born 2009-10),
U12 individual or team (Born 2011-12),
U10 individual or team (Born 2013 and after)

All genders will compete together in the team categories for the 2023 Rodeo.

Race Day Schedule

9 AM Bib Pick-up opens
10 AM 15 km (3 laps) freestyle team and individual event (mass start)
11:30 AM 10 km (3 laps) freestyle team and individual event (mass start)
12:45 PM 3 km (3 laps) freestyle U14 and open individual and team start
12:46 PM 3 km (3 laps) freestyle U12 individual and team start
12:47 PM 3 km (3 laps) freestyle U10 individual and team start
1:15 PM Untimed lollipop race (free!)
*Awards and prizes to be presented following each event

Team Event Tag Zone

Each team will be issued one bib, the exchange will be an exchange of the bib, which must take place in the designated tag zone in the stadium.  This

Washington Nordic Cup

Skiers eligible for the Washington Nordic Cup will be awarded participation points for competing in the 3km, 10km or 15km individual or team events at the Ski Rodeo.
